Jean Metzinger Peacock

Artifact Wooden Puzzles SKU: 69632

$68.00

This 201-piece wooden jigsaw puzzle is of a 1906 painting by post-impressionist Jean Metzinger in a pointillist style.

Our puzzle design was done by Chandler Millwood and is pretty unique and harder than our average puzzle (= kind-of-hard). There is an irregular edge, it has a lot of "peacock eye" pieces like on peacock feathers, and there are a handful of fun whimsies along the lines of "peacock-ing", aka "strutting your stuff."

NOTE: The irregular edge is not shown in the image on the box!

Previously sold as Mystery Puzzle #24 (without the picture on the box), which is how it was used for the 2022 Puzzle Parley Speed Puzzling Contest. The fastest team of three world-class speed puzzlers working together finished it in 26 minutes and 51 seconds. The second-place team of three took 29 minutes and 52 seconds. The third-place team took 33 minutes and 8 seconds.

Our Ecru Puzzles line has a matte finish to reduce glare. Like all our puzzles, made of 1/4" thick laser-cut wood and made in the USA. Packaged in our standard unfinished pine wood box.

Made in the USA (specifically, in Port Townsend WA).
