Eureka!'s Vacation Game Programming

A banner that looks like a game board with cards, meeples, and a pathway that reads "Vacation Game Programming" with the Eureka! Puzzles & Games logo above it. It also reads "Game filled days for ages 10-15," and uses the Eureka! lime green and dark blue.

The Classic (Strategy Board Games) *REGISTER NOW*

A fan favorite, Eureka's! Vacation Game Programming has delighted board and card game players since 2008 -- that's fifteen years this year! We transport participants to the world of contemporary strategy games: games that are far more skill than luck, and may call on our powers of reasoning, spatial skills, resource management, negotiation, cooperation, risk management, and deduction. We play a mix of classic Eurogames along with newer releases and party games for the ultimate vacation gaming experience. Have a favorite game to share with others, or looking to learn something new? Players will get to experience both as our counselors are experts at guiding both novice and seasoned players through a variety of different game genres and rulesets.

Programming runs from 10am to 4pm, and is hosted at Knight Moves Café, located at 1402 Beacon St., Brookline. Participants can sign up for single days or for the entire week, and we always encourage families to sign up siblings and friends--though if you're coming to program solo, we promise you'll be leaving with new friends!  After all, there's no better way to get to know someone than over a board game.

Dungeons and Dragons *REGISTER NOW*

*New in 2023*

Join Eureka! for a self-contained daily Dungeons and Dragons adventure this school vacation! Players new and experienced from ages 10-15 can go on a completely original adventure run by a Eureka! Dungeon Master that will run for about 3 hours total, with a 1/2 hour lunch break (not included in play time). Afterwards players will join the Classic Programming participants for 2 hours of general board and card game play to finish off their day. More information about daily adventure themes & character requirements will be provided by our Dungeon Master closer to the start of vacation, though players can be assured they will be able to make their own characters or can choose out of pre-made characters by our DM.

Due to the popularity of D&D and limited space (8 seats/day), we ask that families sign children up for a MAX 2 days of D&D, please!

Our utmost hope is to be able to welcome as many players into youth Dungeons and Dragons as possible, so we thank you for being understanding as we run the pilot version of this program and assess demand. We highly encourage you to come play board games with us for the rest of the week--our Classic Program is available for all 5 days, can feature many boardgames inspired by D&D (such as Lords of Waterdeep and Betrayal at Baulder's Gate), and allows for friends and party members old and new to continue to explore gaming experiences together.

Programming runs from 10am to 4pm and is hosted at Knight Moves Café, located at 1402 Beacon St., Brookline.
